About Us
Gina Bacconi was founded in 1913 by Jack Offenbach and his wife Sara in East London, trading as J. Offenbach. In 1936 Jack & Sara’s 3 sons joined the business until the war began and all 3 sons joined the army. In 1944 the family change the business name from J. Offenbach to Shubette of London.
After the war the boys returned from the army and moved Shubette to Great Portland Street in London. The new location was the first fashion house in Great Portland Street to have a window display as they unveiled the new name of Shubette of London.
